An 89th Birthday Party

My great BeanPa came to visit us to celebrate our Christmas and his EIGHTY-NINTH birthday. Our plan went a little awry when he fell the first day he was with us and broke his femur just below the hip joint. He ended up having surgery and spent our vacation with him in hospital. We went to visit everyday and I showed him lots of my new toys. We even had a birthday party! YaYa did everything for the party and Aunt Linda flew in to surprise him for his birthday on January 1st. It was exciting that we got to have lunch and cake and Aunt Linda all at one time. Next year he'll just have to have an extra big (non in hospital) bash, but I think it turned out pretty fun. He is doing well and in rehab (still in Texas) but Probably he will bust out soon and then go back to Tennessee.

Chocolate cake with chocolate icing!

"Ha-a-apy Bi-irthda-a-ay to you-u-u-u....."

Auntie H and part of Aunt Linda with Jack running in at the bottom

There's the rest of Aunt Linda

I don't remember way I was eating but it must have been delicious! Maybe banana pudding?

Aunt Linda LOVES coloring on boxes too!

The Landing Bush

Trying to decide what to do outside. There's a lot of choices, but we spent most of the day outside and I had already done a lot of things. So I decided to do some of my favorites again.

"Hit Balls!" This one shows off my stance.

And my swing! I am pretty positive that one was a home run.

I hit so hard there is a crack in my bat.

Upon inspection I have concluded it irreparable. Daddy says I can get a new bat even though it was just Christmas.

"Draw cars!"

Okay. Or "Akaay" as I like to say. My NEW favorite thing that Mommy tries to talk me out of but how can you say no to THIS MUCH FUN?!?! I am excited all over again just thinking about it.
Walking on the outside  edge of the porch...

Almost there...

Rounding the corner...

Ready, set...

JUMP!

View from above.

And the landing bush!

I've had some bloopers. Once I didn't make it to the jumping platform. And once I jumped on the wrong bush. Bad idea. The landing bush is definitely the landing bush for a reason. And there was one time when I had pooed and the landing wasn't good for keeping the poo in it's designated place so later I ended up landing on more than just the landing bush......

Slime!

Today was a great day! We made slime! Mostly Mommy gave me all the stuff and I made slime :)
Here's the recipe in case you see these pictures and then are like "Wow that is way super cool! I want to make slime like Knox!"
1. Dissolve 1 tbsp of Borax in 1 cup of water
2. Pour a bottle of Elmer's glue in a bowl
3. Put food coloring in the glue (I did green cuz that's what Mommy had)
4. Stir some and add the Borax water to the colored glue
5. Stir! Squish! Mush! And scoop out the solid-y part

See I'm pouring in the glue by myself (I LOVED the glue part and kept asking of more "boo")

Pouring in the water

Stir stir stir!

Stretch!

Squish squash mush!

New Years: The Double Bond

On New Year's Eve the Knox's traditionally set off to the annual Johanson New Year's Party. From what I heard going into this it's a fun time, but this was going to be my first NYE partying experience. I was pumped. And rather dashing in my tux. That was all Mr. Sir's idea. Years ago it started being a regular request that he don the Bond as his contribution to the festivities. I knew there was going to be a DJ (perfect for showing of my stellar moves), a bar (bottled water anyone?), and lots of finger food (you say "finger food" I HEAR "CANDY!").

Apparently Mommy failed to get a photo of Jack and me dancing' I think she was too enthralled with the amazing-ness that I was doing with my legs. And my arms. I even invented a new move: The Frankenstein. Uncle Pete got a second on his phone so maybe somehow Mommy'll figure out how to get videos up here so you can see me in action.

Why are we taking time posing when there is a PARTY going on?!?

YaYa and Jack outside where we were dancing. I was SO super bummed when he went inside to eat so I kept going in to get him and out to dance and in to get him. And THEN I found he was eating food but sitting RIGHT NEXT to M&M's. I had like a hundred of those things.

Dance. Hydrate. Dance. Hydrate. Find a car that belongs to the little boy, Cade, that lives there and ride it around for several hours uninterrupted. Forget about dancing. Ride car. Hydrate.

I am pretty sure Mommy told me she had candy.

YaYa AND Mr. Sir! And who's that little stud with the water?

Auntie Em!

And there's Mommy and Daddy! And that little handsome fellow popping up in another picture :)

The party was so fun! I totally stayed up until midnight (and beyond) and got kisses. Next year I will definitely yell "Happy New Year". And I think I will show up for the party whether there is a party or not. Thanks Johanson's!!!

Fun with Jack the Jack!

This is me playing in the yard and YaYa and Mr Sir's house with Jack. Mr. Sir and Mommy were hanging out with us. Great BeanPa came to visit but after he got there he fell over and broke his femur at the hip joint. So YaYa was at the hospital with him waiting of his surgery. He is okay though! And soon you'll get to see how we celebrated his birthday with him. So here's just pictures of us playing...

My hair had something crazy cool happening that day. And my pants kept falling off.

Ringing the wind chime. I think maybe it startled Jack.

Petting the kitty

"We crash!!!"

Hahaha! Look at Jack's funny face! He is trying to beat me up! (or get his arm out from under me)

Jack made a break for it and I was stuck like a turtle on its back

"Wait Jack! Come back, I have more crashing for us to do"

Studying the environment

YaYa's butterfly is so cool

We aren't doing anything! Honest!
