First 1st Birthday Party!

My very first birthday party was a success! My friends came (and brought their parents) and my Corpus uncles and Gram and Buelo, and Uncle Clay and Fun Sarah came from Austin. It was SO fun. We had a pop-up house/tent thing in the backyard and Momma filled it with big colored balls (and then everyone got to take one home! AND she bought too many so I have LOTS of them left!) and Daddy filled up my big blue swimming pool. Mostly just one friend and I swam, but Momma said it really came in handy for cleaning up the cupcake disaster (it was not a disaster, it was delicious!).  Uncle Aaron and Uncle Andrew (who came home from New Braunfels just to see me) gave me several pieces of watermelon. I LOVE watermelon and ate it all the way to the rind. There was also smoked brisket (by Daddy), pasta salad, Texas caviar dip, beans, fruit, and CUPCAKES. I had some of everything, but the cupcakes were the best part. Momma made them and Fun Sarah helped turn them into owls. My friends were so nice and brought me presents! Everyone gave me a book and I got some cool wheels, a Texas A&M hat, and G&B got me two big toys that I can stand up to push and ride on. SO fun!
(Message from Momma: Knox was given an owl cupcake and a second cupcake to hold the candle - that wouldn't light in the wind - and four mini cupcakes spelling out his name. He ate them all. There were of course crumbs all over his face, body, and his lap, but he did his best to eat every last bit. And then he tried to eat the candle. Actually bit off a chunk of candle. The kid will eat anything.)

Starting on the cake! I wasn't sure what to do with it at first, but after Daddy stuck some in my mouth. I caught on pretty quickly after that.

Presents!

For the Die Hard Knoxists

Yes, I created my own group- Knoxists. Knoxists are true fans of me and all that I do :)
Tomorrow is my birthday! (I am sure the Knoxists out there were already aware. You were right?)
But we kicked off the birthday week celebrations this past weekend with friends, a party, and a trip to the beach (with Momma, Daddy, Uncle Clay and Brett, and Fun Sarah!).  Lots of fun things planned for during the week, and then a final birthday celebration next Saturday. Here's some video of the fun, but I promise to take the time to share party pictures later today.

This first one is a little long, but I was having so much fun. This is also how I got out of taking anymore pictures last weekend for my 1 year beach photo shoot.

Well, the second one is actually a little long also, but I walked with my new dinosaur (thanks Gram and Buelo!) and got some of Daddy's cupcake!

Take Two

There are benefits to living next to an all-but-abandoned house. See below.

Almost

I AM ALMOST AN ENTIRE YEAR OLD! Momma says that is ancient. I am about to take a nap, but jumped on the computer to share a few pictures. Mostly they are from the first (of probably many) set of the one year photo shoot.

Videos!

I went to a water thing today with some friends. I figured out how to bear crawl to get my knees off the hot, bumpy concrete. Momma took video!

Root, Root, Root for the Home Team

Last week we went to the Hooks minor league baseball game with Uncle Aaron and cousin Brett. I snoozed a few minutes and woke up with a Whataburger near my face. Yummmmmm

Did I mention the rain delay?

Daddy's hands are hu-u-uge!

I smell food...

I'm Back!

I have been having such a fun busy summer I have been running out of time everyday before I get to share with you what I've been up to. I will (hopefully) gradually catch you up on the past month or more. Momma and Daddy measured me last night and I am 17lb 7oz and 29 inches. I think that means there's about a pound and an inch of time where I have been slacking on here. For tonight I am just stopping in to share my dinner pictures. Momma made spaghetti with homemade sauce and used penne pasta so I could pick it up. That was a pretty awesome idea. I only had spaghetti once before and this time I liked it much better. And at the bottom is a short video (Momma finally figured out how to get one on here so more to come!) of me on one of the long drives we had in the last month.
