The three us of spent last weekend in San Antonio for the wedding of Knox's godfather Uncle Keith and Elizabeth. They were awesome enough to ask Knox to be the ring bearer (I'm thinking it's his charm and good looks that convinced them he needed to be seen in a tux) and Chris was the best man.
We got up there Thursday night to start the celebrating with their friends and family and a delicious dinner. There was lots of running around making friends by Knox and a loss of pants. Why is it so hard to keep this kid dressed? If he isn't removing clothing himself he's spilling on it, leaking into it, and making it otherwise disgusting and unwearable. We kept extra pants with us for the rest of the weekend.
Friday morning we had the most delicious buffet breakfast at The St. Anthony historic hotel in downtown SA where the wedding guests were staying. Knox took advantage of one of the perks of being 2, free buffets, and ate enough that they probably wished he could be charged. A muffin, french toast, strawberries, cantaloupe, honeydew, sausage, yogurt, several strips of bacon, some omelet, 2 cartons of milk..... After the feast we ran some errands. Initially we were hunting for a shirt for Mr. K to wear to dinner, but Chris left his pants (what is it with these guys and pants!) in Corpus so we got those as well.
Knox was a superstar at the never-ending rehearsal and walked down the aisle like a champ (if only everyone could have seen!) with the three flower girls. Eventually we made it to a very well decorated, fun dinner where other than not eating a thing, Knox was awesome. He partied, he played, and in the middle of someone's toast he threw up on the floor. Apparently he got the stomach virus that every other kid in his class at school ended up with as well.

He was mostly better Saturday other than not eating and Buelo, Uncles Andrew and Aaron, and I took him to the zoo.

Lucky he had three big guys to carry him around

The little monkey on the left is a baby. It was hilarious jumping around and falling off the rocks. Knox found it extra funny with Buelo's sound effects.
Laughing at the baby monkey.

After nap we rode a trolley to the cathedral. And then there was the wedding! He tried his best. He stood with 4 year old Claire and had 9 year olds Lucy and Abigail all set to walk behind him. He went about 3 feet and froze. After a nudge from behind he took a few more steps before freezing again. Serious stage fright. After several seconds and another nudge he broke off from the pack to run back to me. I told him to go ahead (there was a stash of marshmallows at the end and we'd practiced a lot) so he went back to aisle and laid down playing with the pillow. Chris and the maid of honor were walking last so Daddy scooped him up and he cried the whole way down. At least he didn't puke.

We al had a great time at the reception. Knox went up to bed with Gram and Buelo about midnight and Chris and I stayed to party, dance, and eventually break both my feet and fracture my ankle. Oops. at least it was during the second or third to the last song that the failed hop occurred so I didn't miss much.
It is so difficult to get a picture with this guy. This was my favorite!
Cocktail hour = time to rest up
"but wait there, I might need another drink"
"and then I punched the guy"
Getting late and looking sleepy
My favorite picture of him all night

And back up them with Uncle Andrew
Right after the unfortunate hop. Arrows showing the breaks- you could see the swelling almost instantly
Sunday morning Chris carried me to brunch with everyone before heading back to Corpus. We made it home. Not exactly in one piece but at least we survived.
